In order for a student to place out of Algebra I in any Chicago Public High school, he/she must pass the Algebra Exit Exam. Placing out of algebra permits students to enroll in more advanced high school math programs, including AP Calculus and AP Statistics.
If your child is currently taking an approved algebra course in a Chicago Public School, he/she can sit for the Algebra Exam during the week of May 24th 2010 at his/her elementary or middle school. If your child is not a CPS student, he/she can take this exam on Saturday, May 22, 2010.
